Work well for local kine grinds. #46 charsu is the fav. with the club sandwich on the side. Bingo bango. Moi moi time. Staff is on top of it.
Large and popular restaurant servings lots of different styles of tasty saimin (differing mostly in the toppings). Inexpensive prices. Located in a strip mall with a large parking lot that is often full.
Sadly Mochiko chicken batter has no flavor.
Shiro's is a good hole in the wall type restaurant and take out place catered to mainly locals. I patronize this place regularly and enjoy their loco moko or hawaiian plates. Their hamburgas are good as well with crinkle fries. I also like their potato mac but it is actually spaghetti potato mac salad. It's the best I had on island and not much people make spaghetti mac. Their prices are reasonable compared to other food joints where they charge an arm and a leg. Please patronize this local kama'aina business as we should all do our part as locals to support local. Never mind the fast food chains and corporate franchises.
